McKay and Braeden’s wedding day at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota was so filled with joy from start to finish. These two rounded out my busy season for 2020, and to say we ended with a bang would be such an understatement.
From the warm florals to hand-made signs, every detail was so thoughtfully made, and it was clear to see where that came from. It was easy to see in McKay, Braeden, and both their families, that thoughtfulness just came easy. Kind gestures, long hugs, tears of joy, and the best dance party just made for the sweetest of days – it was such an honor to witness.
Back when I first met McKay and Braeden, they invited me to their home to spend a Saturday morning with them as they normally would – cuddled up with coffee and cinnamon rolls. We talked for hours about life and their relationship, and they just felt like I had known them for years. Fast forward to their wedding, it was the same experience with all their friends and family. It truly felt like a day I could live again and again, so it’s only fitting you get to live a bit of it, too.
Royal Golf Club was the perfect setting for a late fall wedding. While it was slightly colder than they wanted, they were able to repurpose the space where the dance floor usually is for their ceremony, and flip accordingly for the rest of the evening. The last bits of fall color all along their trees, and the rolling hills leading to a little pond made for many incredible spaces to work in. We ended the night outside with some sparklers and dancing, and made for a memorable send off to winter.
McKay and Braeden, y’all are the freaking best, and it was such an honor to celebrate you two!!
