Some wedding days feel like they were pulled straight from a dream—and this warm, sun-soaked July celebration at the Minnetonka Yacht Club was exactly that. Set against the shimmering backdrop of Lake Minnetonka, with boats drifting lazily in the distance and a soft breeze gliding off the water, every element of the day felt effortless, joyful, and engulfed in the warm summer haze. 

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was lively and filled with love. The sun danced on the water, sailboats bobbed gently along the docks, and the surrounding shoreline was rich with vibrant greenery. The yacht club, with its laid-back nautical charm and sweeping lake views, created the perfect setting for a summer wedding that felt both elevated and authentic to Monique and Theo—a blend of refined detail and lakeside leisure.

The ceremony took place just steps from the dock, where  florals framed M & T with the glittering water behind them. The sound of waves lapping against the shore line was the perfect accompaniment to the exchanging of vows. After the ceremony, while guests enjoyed cocktails and passed appetizers back at the tent, these two slipped away for a private moment together: a celebratory cruise around the lake aboard a classic wooden boat. Just the two of them, they toasted with champagne and shared lobster rolls—an East Coast-inspired touch that spoke to their personalities and story. The lake offered a moment of calm and joy as they soaked in their first moments as newlyweds, gliding across the water in the golden afternoon light.

The reception was held under a beautiful sailcloth tent set right on the waterfront. Inside, long tables were dressed in crisp white linens and soft blue accents, with summer florals spilling from low arrangements in varying summer shades. The tent provided the perfect mix of indoor comfort and outdoor charm, giving guests a panoramic view of the lake while creating an inviting, celebratory space.

As dinner gave way to toasts and dancing, with the lake glittering under the sunset, a large group took to a dip in the lake. A quintessential summer send off to this day. It wasn’t long before many joined in— It was the kind of moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: lighthearted, love-filled, and completely unforgettable.
